Please join us for our first ever “Make and Take Tamale Workshop,” led by Elizabeth Escobar. The ingredients will be prepared ahead of time and Elizabeth will guide us through the assembly process. There will be several kinds of tamales to make, with instructions on how to steam them at home. Suggested donation: $2 donation per tamale.
We will also have a mini boutique set up with handcrafted glass and textile items made by our families and friends for sale. There may also be some NF logo wear available for purchase, but the inventory will be limited. You can save time compared to going to a mall.
This workshop is a great way for NF to stand for “new friends” as well as Neurofibromatosis. Sitting together to make tamales is fun and an easy way to make new friends in a relaxed, upbeat environment. No experience necessary.
Please contact Katie Sperring at (714) 293-4035; firstname.lastname@example.org for more information. Calls and emails will be returned in the evening.
